As a reservations technology platform made by fans for fans, we’re always working to improve our system and expand our reach to include more artists. Our latest development is Priority Reservations: a simple way to give fans first access to see the concerts they want.
Suppose an artist is working with the Lyte platform. In that case, fans can make a Priority Reservation by choosing the number of tickets they want in a particular city. These ticket reservations are made before official dates or venues are announced. Advance access allows interested fans to purchase their tickets prior to the general on-sale.
Priority Reservations benefit the people involved in the event planning and execution. It gives them a feel for how large a venue to book to pack the house and keep the money in their pockets. Why let ticket scalpers take credit for the hard work you put in to produce an event?
The Priority Reservation feature isn’t specific to artist tours and events—it can be used for any kind of tour.
We’re excited to share that one of our early adopters is L.O.L. Surprise!, who recently announced their first tour in the works. The number one selling kid’s toy of the last three holiday seasons has teamed up with Lyte for a flexible ticketing experience. L.O.L. Surprise will use Priority Reservation to judge the interest in various cities as they plan dates and venues.

The tour will feature music, dancing, and of course, surprises. Four L.O.L. superstars will be brought to life in this spectacular concert for fans of all ages. Lady Diva, Royal Bee, Neonilicious, and Swag will dazzle the audience in over 100 cities across the U.S.!
Since this is the first time an event like this has been produced, the L.O.L. team wanted a way to judge demand for tickets in various cities. They also wanted to ensure that fans could secure tickets for a show. They found the best of both worlds with the Lyte platform.
For a nominal reservation fee, fans can select their preferred city, number of tickets desired, and ticket type. Lyte will add them to a list of priority customers who will have the first access to presale tickets when the show dates are announced. If the tour is unable to visit a fan’s preferred city, then they will have the option to get a ticket in a nearby city or apply the credit to a different event.

How does it work?
An artist we team up with announces their intent to go on tour. Fans can explore the various cities the artist is considering touring and can make a reservation. This reservation guarantees the fan early access to tickets in the town of their choice.
We take a small reservation fee to hold the fan’s spot in line, and that fee gives fans access to the private pre-sale to purchase the tickets they reserved.
For artist representatives, Lyte provides demand reports and other actionable metrics that demonstrate where artists have the most demand. Priority Reservation makes tour planning a breeze with actual demand statistics instead of guesstimates based on the last tour or social media profiling.
For promoters, you get a show with a significantly reduced risk profile. Although we can’t guarantee that everyone on the priority list will get tickets, we do offer the ability to transfer a reservation to another upcoming event or city. The purchased tickets will be authentic from the official ticketing platform. The venue’s entrance won’t be littered with ticket scalpers. You don’t have to do as much leg work to fill the seats.
We’re so close to the return of live entertainment, and we have the opportunity to make changes to the ticketing industry for the better. Fans have been waiting for over a year to see their favorite artists. Priority Reservation gives them Lyte at the end of the tunnel.
