What can we say? We’re on a roll.
The excitement hasn’t stopped over here, and we’re so thrilled to welcome Zahid Zakaria to the Lyte team as the Vice President of Operations and Customer Strategy.
Originally from Mauritius, Zakaria has been all over the map before settling in New York. He began his career in Washington, D.C. as a consultant for Deloitte. Zakaria is joining us after working in Insights & Analytics and Customer Success Operations at the software company Yext alongside our new president, Wendi Sturgis.
In his new role at Lyte, Zakaria will be leading the charge of developing the roadmap, insights, and foundations of our sales and success measures. Additionally, he’ll cultivate a strong partnership with our product and engineering teams as we come up with the next big things in the ticketing industry.
Hiring Zakaria was a natural step in our goal to provide the best live event experience for all involved. As our CEO Ant Taylor said, “The magic under the hood is an increasingly sophisticated, algorithmic pricing engine built to optimize event yield and save fans money. Zahid’s work will help us refine the algorithm and lead to many, many more happy fans and full venues.”
Adding Zakaria to the team comes on the heels of extreme growth within the company. We’re constantly striving to find a way to streamline the ticketing process and produce a more efficient model for all sides of live events. We’re confident that adding Zakaria to the Lyte crew is a step toward better events.
To fight price gouging and half-empty venues, we need the best brains working together.
We’ve been packing the Lyte office seats with the brightest minds in the business. Zakaria comes on the heels of other incredible appointments, including Jorgen Bocklage as Chief Financial Officer, Donovan Bass as VP of Product Marketing, Krystle Jackson as Chief of Staff, and Wendi Sturgis as President.
If there’s one thing we can say about ourselves, it’s that we’re never satisfied. We know that there’s always room for improvement, a way to make things better. We never want to become complacent; we want to keep innovating so we can give artists, producers, venue owners, and fans the best experience possible.
We’re confident that Zakaria will be instrumental in helping us work towards growth.
Looking toward the future (as we always do), we hope to see more partnerships with festivals like Pitchfork and Life is Beautiful and with artists like Jackson Browne. We’d also love to partner up with another agency like Mint Talent Group. Or maybe we’ll be able to do something we haven’t even imagined yet. Only time will tell.
