In February, we launched a new podcast series called “Spot Lyte On…” The idea was to take listeners behind the scenes and inside the minds of those in live events, music, culture, and business. The people who make things happen.
But the world has drastically changed since then. We’ve changed. At least for now.
“The New Normal” is a series of bonus “Spot Lyte On…” episodes where Lyte’s Lawrence Peryer — also known as LP — chats with industry friends about how COVID-19 is affecting their businesses and lives. Guests will include people behind music festivals, venues, events, artist teams, and more.
Our first episode dropped this week and features Zac Edwards of AC Entertainment. There, Zac and LP discuss some personal and professional implications from the COVID-19 lockdown. Our second episode that’s also live is a discussion with Patrick Ryan from Eventellect. These first two episodes will be followed by discussions with Patrick Whalen from Backstage Productions and Laurie Kirby from FestForums, and more yet to be announced industry insiders.
Lyte and LP will continue to launch regular episodes of “Spot Lyte On…” while also addressing this situation and share how others in the live events community are coping and adjusting.
