Our Mission
Fill every seat. Make ticketing magical.
Ticketing needs to evolve
Traditional ticketing is the opposite of magical these days: no flexibility, antiquated tech and razor-thin profit margins.
We’re bringing joy back to the buying experience with a demand-first solution that offers returnability, simplicity and confidence for fans and event creators alike.
The story so far
2012: Inspiration spikes
Ant Taylor attends a beach volleyball game at the London Olympics. Outside, fans gather—desperate to score sold-out tickets. Inside, top athletes play to a half-empty stadium. Everybody loses.
2013: Experimentation begins
Inspired by a once in a lifetime trip to the Olympics, Taylor travels back to the US, assembles a crew and begins to experiment.
2014: Lyte is born
Lyte is created to help fans easily return tickets they can’t use as well as find tickets to sold out events—reducing no show rates and filling the house for event creators.
2015 - 2018: Putting demand first
The first formal Lyte platform is released, powering returns and requests for sold out events. A string of early adopters jump aboard and integrations with primary ticketers are secured. Lyte consistently proves the power of a demand-first approach, exponentially growing its client base.
2019: A step towards the future
In addition to opening its first international office, Lyte is rebuilt to scale events of any size—setting the groundwork for its eventual entry into end-to-end ticketing.
2020: COVID strikes
As the live events industry struggles, Lyte stands up as one of the very first supporters of the newly forming National Independent Venues Association (NIVA). To support clients, the Lyte platform is updated to help partners manage postponements.
2021-2022: Back to the plan
As live events return post COVID, Lyte acquires Festicket and Event Genius, doubles down on developing an end-to-end solution and opens more international offices in Europe and Australia.
2023: Turning ticketing on its head
A decade on and Lyte's demand-first, end-to-end ticketing solution is launched worldwide.
