When our industry shut down, things felt bleak. But it allowed us to reflect and to begin imagining what the future of live entertainment would look like. Whether you're a promoter or a venue owner, or any other member of the community, you've probably imagined the swarm of people wanting to get somewhere where they can see their favorite artists perform. But with all good things come the negative things too. The return of live entertainment means the return of ticket scalpers taking advantage of fans who desperately want to attend an event. Our goal during the shutdown was to figure out how we can get the actual fans in the seats for a fair price. Our market has always been very strict on the "no refunds, no returns" front, and we weren't afraid to say that we disagreed with that way of thinking. [Our ticketing platform](https://lyte.com/organizers/) allows fans to exchange their tickets if something comes up. When a ticket is returned, it's sold to the next fan in line at the market price. We also introduced our priority reservation technology to help touring artists and promoters gauge interest in various cities while allowing fans to reserve their spot in line for someone they want to see. Our platform has swept the event industry off its feet by providing security to both the event producers and fans. Our goal is to meet the demands of the artists, producers, venues, and fans by offering a more straightforward ticketing method. We hate the idea of half-empty venues and people paying insane amounts of money for fake tickets. Lyte was created to change all of that.
