Phew. What a year it’s been here at Lyte. As another banner twelve months for the company comes to an end, we’re now several steps closer towards our mission to fill every seat with real tickets at fair prices and make the entire experience magical and simple for fans.
A series of factors have impacted the live events and ticketing industries - such as inflation, climate change, and an oversaturated market - in 2022’s post-pandemic world. These obstacles have given us even more impetus to continue combatting the harsh secondary market and truly put the fan first.
Over the past year, Lyte has powered 34% of North American-based festivals on Billboard's Top 50 Festivals of 2022 such as Coachella, Pitchfork Music Festival, and BottleRock whilst adding to our ever-growing roster of clients powering the likes of Baja Beach Festival, Desert Daze, and Levitation Festival. We have also been mentioned in articles featured in the Wall Street Journal, Rolling Stone, and Bloomberg, sharing our insight on the state of play and the future of industries we operate in.
One of the most exciting developments for Lyte has been our global expansion. On top of powering events in Canada and Mexico throughout 2022, next year will see us enter brand new markets such as Europe and Australia.
2022 has been a landmark year, and 2023 is shaping up to be even better as we continue to reimagine ecommerce for live events for artists, venues, and fans alike.
Take a look at some of 2022’s highlights below:
- 76% increase in the events we powered vs. 2021
- 26% increase in fans serviced vs. 2021
- We powered 34% of North American-based festivals on Billboard’s Top 50 Festivals of 2022 (including Baja Beach Fest, Pitchfork Music Festival, BottleRock and Coachella)
- Global expansion with new events in Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia
A big shout out to every fan and creator who has come on the journey with us so far.
This is just the beginning.
