In the latest episode of Spotlight On from Series 7 of the podcast, host and Lyte Commercial Director Lawrence Peryer talks creativity and innovation with “ambitiously curious” global affairs news and information platform, Brigadoon.
Brigadoon was born out of the personal frustration of its curator, Marc A. Ross. Listening to the same kinds of people with the same kinds of opinions, the platform was formed from one simple idea: to connect founders and thought leaders shaping e-commerce and culture who believe in the power of conversation and embracing curiosity.
The description of the platform on the Brigadoon website reads simply as “a place that is idyllic, unaffected by time, or remote from reality.”
Established in 2013 and produced by Caracal Strategies LLC, Brigadoon organizes powerpoint free discussions, family-style salon dinners, and multi-day excursions that foster deeper knowledge and enable better connections.
Throughout this episode of the podcast, the conversation covers the history of technology and innovation in creative fields - specifically music - and highlights the innovations and legacies of artists like Franz Liszt, Frank Sinatra, and David Bowie.
